WandaVision has proven as one of the biggest Disney+ shows since its premiere this winter, and its popularity isn’t fading away. The list of MTV Movie & TV Awards winners is in, and the beloved Marvel series led the way with a total of four awards.
WandaVision had a tough competition in the best show category, where it was running against The Boys, Bridgerton, Cobra Kai, and Emily in Paris, but still managed to come out victorious. It also won the trophies for the best performance in a show (Elizabeth Olsen), the best villain (Kathryn Hahn), and the best fight (Olsen and Hahn).
WandaVision was in a pretty good company on the list of winners, and it was joined by another Marvel show. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier came out victorious in two different categories – best hero (Anthony Mackie) and best duo (Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan).
The movie field was much more colorful this year, and it didn’t offer any obvious leaders. To All the Boys: Always and Forever was named as the best movie, while Chadwick Boseman won the trophy for best performance in a movie for his final role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
Leslie Jones was in charge of hosting the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards ceremony, which was held on May 16th and 17th at the Hollywood Palladium.
