We’ve seen some pretty great comedians host the Golden Globe over the years, and Nikki Glaser is the next one in line. She’ll be in charge of hosting the festivities when the Golden Globe Awards return to Los Angeles this winter.
Glaser called the Golden Globes one of her favorite nights of television and said it’s a “dream job” to finally get a front-row seat at this ceremony.
“Some of my favorite jokes of all time have come from past Golden Globes opening monologues when Tina, Amy, or Ricky have said exactly what we all didn’t know we desperately needed to hear. I just hope to continue in that time-honored tradition (that might also get me canceled),” she said in a statement.
Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, described Glaser as “a comedic powerhouse whose daring and unfiltered humor is the perfect match for the Golden Globes” and promised she’ll bring a unique energy and spontaneity to the show.
The 2025 Golden Globes will return to the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on January 5, 2025, with CBS handling the live broadcast and Paramount+ streaming the ceremony. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association will announce the nominations on December 9.
