ABC is looking to revive thirtysomething.

Multiple outlets report that the network is developing a sequel to the beloved ‘80s ensemble drama.

The new series, titled thirtysomething(else), will be a continuation of the original from creators Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick, which ended almost 30 years ago. Herskovitz and Zwick are on board the new pilot.

According to Entertainment Weekly, thirtysomething(else) will follow the grown-up, thirtysomething children of the original cast that included Ken Olin (Michael Steadman), Mel Harris (Hope Murdoch), Timothy Busfield (Elliot Weston), and Patty Wettig (Nancy Weston).

“This will be a huge priority for us,” said Karey Burke, the head of ABC Entertainment. “It truly is multi-generational. They’ve really done a masterful job of honoring…they know those characters in their bones. And yet their children are thirtysomething themselves, not just their children on the show. So it’s really a true definition of multi-generational.”
