And Just Like That… brought us back to the Sex and the City universe after over a decade, and HBO Max isn’t ready to wave goodbye to it just yet. Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte are coming back for another wild ride around Manhattan after this series received a renewal for another season.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis returned to their respective roles from the original series in And Just Like That… This time around, we watched them trying to navigate the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.
Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max, said they’re delighted by the cultural conversation this series has generated and praised the creative team behind it for bringing it to life.
“We are proud of the work Michael Patrick King and our wonderful writers, producers, cast and crew have done to bring these stories to the screen. We can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store for season 2!” said Aubrey in a statement.
And Just Like That… premiered on December 9, 2021 and scored the most-viewed series premiere for a new original series on HBO Max. In addition to the leading trio, it also starred Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, Evan Handler, Chris Noth, Sara Ramirez, and Sarita Choudhury.
