The eerie sci-fi psychological thriller Severance is one of the biggest breakout hits of 2022 on Apple TV+ and they’re not letting go of it anytime soon. The Season 1 finale of this critically acclaimed series is just a few days away and the streamer already renewed it for its second season.

Ben Stiller, who directed most of the episodes of this series created by Dan Erickson, said it’s been really exciting to see the response from people who are loving the show and thanked Apple TV+ for bringing it back for another ride.

“It has been a long road bringing Severance to television. I first read Dan’s pilot over five years ago. It has always been a multi-season story, and I’m really happy we get to continue it. I’m grateful to our partners at Apple TV+ who have been behind it the whole way,” said Stiller in an official statement.

Severance centers around Mark S. (Adam Scott) an office employee working for Lumon Industries. His life turns upside down after he starts uncovering a web of conspiracy behind this shady company, known for surgically dividing the non-work and work memories of their employees.

In addition to Scott, this series also stars Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette.
