]]>Based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novel of the same name, Heartstopper chronicles the blooming romance between two very different British teens – the high-strung overthinker Charlie and the soft-hearted rugby player Nick.
The new Netflix film will pick up where Season 3 left off, and it will see Nick and Charlie trying to navigate the reality of a long-distance relationship. Doubts take hold, and their relationship faces its biggest challenge yet as Nick prepares to go to university, leaving Charlie to find new independence at school.
Kit Connor and Joe Locke will be back as Nick and Charlie, and they’ll also executive produce the final Heartstopper film. The rest of the cast is yet to be announced, but it will most likely include the original cast members Yasmin Finney, Tobie Donovan, Jenny Walser, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Rhea Norwood, and Olivia Colman.
Oseman is returning to pen the script of this coming-of-age film, based on the sixth and final Heartstopper graphic novel. The production will kick off later this summer, with Wash Westmoreland (Still Alice, Colette) serving as the director.

]]>Slow Horses centers on a team of dysfunctional agents working at the Slough House, known as MI5’s dumping ground. The notorious Jackson Lamb leads this group of misfit spies, who were sent here to endure dull, paper-pushing tasks after making career-ending mistakes.
Gary Oldman plays the lead role in this acclaimed spy drama, while Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jonathan Pryce, Christopher Chung, Rosalind Eleazar, and Saskia Reeves star in supporting roles.
Jay Hunt, creative director for Apple TV+ in Europe, announced the show’s renewal in a statement, saying they’re “delighted that Gary Oldman will be leading this star-studded cast on another acerbic and action-packed adventure.”
The rollout of Slow Horses has been pretty quick for a show released during the streaming era, and it’s already given us four seasons since its launch in 2022. Season 6 renewal was announced shortly after the fourth season wrapped up on October 9, making Slow Horses the first original series in Apple TV+ history to run for over five seasons.

]]>The news about a potential Abbott Elementary crossover started circling around earlier this year, and Always Sunny emerged as one of the most obvious candidates for a team-up. Both shows are set in Philadelphia and their parent networks ABC and FX are owned by Disney Entertainment.
Abbott star Quinta Brunson and Sunny star Rob McElhenney took to social media to confirm that the rumors were true and shared several photos from the set. One photo shows them posing with Sunny’s Charlie Day on the set of Abbott, and McElhenney later shared another photo with his co-star Danny DeVito and Abbott stars Tyler James Williams and William Stanford Davis.
Brunson previously dropped some hints about the crossover during Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, and promised it’s going to be “fun TV”.
“Deals are made. I want you guys to know that. I’ll say I’m really excited for it. You want to find fun ways to shake things up without abandoning what you built,” she told Variety.

]]>Black Mirror was one of Netflix’s shows highlighted during the recent Geeked Week, and its creator Charlie Brooker promised that the show’s next season would go back to basics.
“You can expect a mix of genres and styles. We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional,” Brooker told the audience.
He also confirmed the return of the cult episode USS Callister, which was teased by Netflix earlier this year. Billy Magnussen, Jimmi Simpson, Cristin Milioti, and Milanka Brooks will return as a part of its ensemble.
In addition to this amazing quartet, Season 7 will also welcome 15 newcomers to the Black Mirror universe, including such acclaimed actors as Issa Rae (Insecure), Awkwafina (The Farewell), Emma Corrin (The Crown), Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation), and Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers).
Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who), Tracee Ellis Ross (Black-ish), Chris O’Dowd (The Big Door Prize), Patsy Ferran (Life After Life), Lewis Gribben (Somewhere Boy), Osy Ikhile (Citadel), Siena Kelly (Adult Material), Rosy McEwen (The Alienist), Harriet Walter (Succession), and Paul G. ]]>Jones rose to prominence as a stage actor in a series of Shakespeare in the Park productions, before getting his big break in Hollywood. He made his film debut in Stanley Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove, received his first Oscar nod for The Great White Hope, and went on to star in such hit films as Coming to America, Field of Dreams, and The Hunt for Red October.
Jones’ resonant, unmistakable baritone made him one of Hollywood’s most prolific voice actors, best known as the voice of Darth Vader in Star Wars and Mufasa in The Lion King. He’s also a recipient of two Primetime Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, one Grammy Award, and an honorary Academy Award, which helped him achieve the coveted EGOT status.
Many of Jones’ co-stars and peers sent condolences to his family following his passing at the age of 93. Star Wars filmmaker George Lucas described Jones as “an incredible actor, a most unique voice both in art and spirit” and said he would be missed by friends and fans alike.
“For nearly half a century he was Darth Vader, but the secret to it all is he was a beautiful human being. He gave depth, sincerity and meaning to all his roles, amongst the most important being devoted husband to the late Ceci and dad to Flynn,” Lucas said in a statement.

]]>The post “Abbott Elementary” & “Always Sunny” Crossover is Officially in the Works appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.

Raymond (Horrible Histories) will also star across six new episodes of Season 7.

]]>The post Hollywood Icon & Voice of Darth Vader James Earl Jones Dies at 93 appeared first on thestarsworldwide.com.
