We’ve got more Spiderman casting news for you!
Following last week’s news that Jamie Foxx is coming back to play Electro in the forthcoming Spiderman feature, the third installment of Sony’s franchise, multiple outlets confirm that Benedict Cumberbatch has signed on to return as Doctor Strange in Spiderman 3.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Doctor Strange will take on the role of Iron Man for Tom Holland’s hero, and act as a mentor for SpiderMan.
Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, and Tony Revolori are also expected to reprise their roles in the still untitled superhero pic.
Filming is set to begin next month with Jon Watts at the helm.
Spiderman 3 is scheduled to open in theaters on December 17, 2021.
