Billie Eilish’s third studio album Hit Me Hard and Soft is finally here, and it was worth the wait! She dropped ten amazing new songs on Friday and promoted the release of her new album by sharing a music video for its lead single “Lunch”.
Hit Me Hard and Soft hit the shelves on May 17, and Eilish didn’t release any singles beforehand because she wanted her fans to enjoy it in full. This album allowed her to go back to her roots, and fall in love with music all over again.
“This whole process has felt like I’m coming back to the girl that I was. I’ve been grieving her. I’ve been looking for her in everything, and it’s almost like she got drowned by the world and the media. I don’t remember when she went away,” she previously told Rolling Stone.
Hit Me Hard and Soft has given us tend brand-new songs, and “Lunch” was released as its lead single. Eilish also dropped a self-directed music video for this song, which helped her realize that she was attracted to girls when she first wrote it.
Eilish is planning to promote her new album with Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour, set to kick off in Canada this fall before taking her around North America, Australia, and Europe throughout 2024 and 2025.
