Billie Eilish made quite a splash with her latest album Hit Me Hard and Soft, and she’s getting credit where credit is due. The young singer scored the largest debut week of her career with her new album, despite failing to hit No. 1 during its first week on the Billboard 200 chart.

Hit Me Hard and Soft took the backseat to Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department and debuted at No. 2 with 339,000 equivalent album units earned. Album sales comprise 191,000, including 90,000 in vinyl sales, which marks Eilish’s largest sales week ever.

Hit Me Hard and Soft also helped her score her largest week in terms of equivalent album units, largely thanks to the album’s impressive streaming numbers. Despite only featuring ten songs, including the lead single “Lunch”, Eilish’s third studio album managed the earn 166,500 SEA units, equaling 193.93 million on-demand official streams.

Hit Me Hard and Soft might’ve failed to hit No. 1 in the US, but it did a pretty great job all around the world. It topped the charts in Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, and Spain, in addition to scoring the biggest opening week of Eilish’s career on the UK Albums Chart with 67,100 album-equivalent units.
