The entire world exploded with excitement after BTS dropped their first English-language single “Dynamite”, and they immediately broke several major YouTube records with this track. Millions of people tuned in to hear it, and it easily topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week, becoming the group’s first song to do so.

BTS’ latest single sold 300,000 units in its first week, in addition to earning 33.9 million streams and 11.6 million radio airplay audience impressions. It easily hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with the biggest digital sales week in nearly three years since Taylor Swift released “Look What You Made Me Do”.

“Dynamite” is the K-pop band’s first single to ever reach the top of this chart, but they had several top 10 entries in the past. “On” hit No. 4 earlier this year, while “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey hit No. 8 and “Fake Love” debuted at No. 10.

BTS is also the first all-South Korean group in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to top the chart. The South Korean singer PSY previously reached No. 2 with his viral hit “Gangnam Style” and spent seven weeks on this spot.
