Cardi B hasn’t lost her sense of humor since becoming a mother, as the rapper played a hilarious practical joke on everyone during last night’s MTV VMAs…
The audience thought they were getting a first look at adorable baby Kulture Kiari, as Cardi B – who spectacularly opened the VMAs at Radio City Music Hall – held what looked like a baby wrapped in a blanket in her arms.
Sadly, baby Kulture was nowhere to be seen, as the Bodak Yellow star was actually holding a shiny Moon Person trophy instead. Savage!
While we (and we assume the rest of the audience) saw the funny side, Cardi B mentioned that husband and baby daddy Offset was not too amused…
“Set said ‘I was sooo mad, when I saw you on stage with that blanket. I thought you was going to show Kulture,’” Cardi B told her fans on Twitter after the show.
We don’t think anything will bring Cardi B down after last night’s VMAs though, as she walked away with an impressive three gongs.
Cardi B walked away with Song of the Summer award for “I Like It,” as well as the Collaboration award for “Dinero” with Jennifer Lopez and DJ Khaled and perhaps best of all, the coveted Best New Artist accolade.
