Channing Tatum gave us one of his most personal projects with Magic Mike, and he’s getting ready for another dance. The third movie in the franchise, titled Magic Mike’s Last Dance, is in development with Steven Soderbergh returning as a director.

The first Magic Mike movie came out in 2012 and it was set in the world of male stripping. In addition to Tatum, it also starred Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, and Matthew McConaughey. Tatum’s own life served as a source of inspiration for this project, which was followed by the sequel Magic Mike XXL in 2015.

The Magic Mike franchise was such a huge success that it also inspired a stage experience Magic Mike Live and the upcoming reality show Finding Magic Mike, set to premiere on HBO Max this December.

Just like the first two movies in the franchise, Magic Mike’s Last Dance will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures and their chairman Toby Emmerich is looking forward to bringing the old gang back together.

“Is there anybody on screen more charismatic and appealing than Magic Mike? We’re thrilled to be back in business with Channing, Steven, and their creative team to bring back Magic Mike’s wonderful combination of dance, drama, romance, and humor,” said Emmerich in a statement.
