Could We See a Third Season of “Fleabag”?

Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Sian Clifford in "Fleabag"

Phoebe Waller-Bridge may have walked home with three statuettes on Emmys night but she won’t see a repeat.

At least, as far as Fleabag is concerned.

The BBC America series won Outstanding Writing, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy for Waller-Bridge, and Outstanding Comedy Series.

Originally starting as a one-woman play in Edinburgh in 2013, Phoebe Waller created a second season of the show five years later which is what won the trio of awards.

So, following the unexpected (but not undeserving) Emmy wins, can we expect a season three?!

Sadly, the 34-year-old is sticking to her guns and says no…

“To be honest, this just feels like the most beautiful, beautiful way to say goodbye to it, actually. It does feel right. Go out on a high. You can’t get higher than this.”

We won’t see anymore Fleabag, but we do hope that there are many more Emmy Awards in her future.
