Fans have been waiting for fourteen years and they’ll have to wait for a bit longer.

The country band joins the string of artists who have pushed back album releases due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and has postponed the release of their new album Gaslighter.

Reps for the group said in a statement that the “highly anticipated fifth studio album, Gaslighter, originally scheduled to drop on May 1, 2020, via Columbia Records, has been postponed. Additional details are forthcoming. Fans should continue to check @DixieChicks social media for additional updates and announcements.”

The Dixie Chicks dropped their fourth album, Taking the Long Way, in 2006.
