It’s been a while since Ed Sheeran graced us with some solo music, and he’s finally ready for a comeback. The British hitmaker gave us an amazing candidate for the song of the summer with his new single “Bad Habits” and the music video for this track shows him in a whole new light.
The video for Sheeran’s latest single sees him playing a glam vampire, rocking a pink suit and some dazzling eye makeup. The “Shape of You” singer said the video’s theme was inspired by Buffy the Vampire Slayer and it’s a metaphor for all the vices we invite into our life once the sun goes down.
“The song is called ‘Bad Habits’ and I feel like most bad habits come out when the sun goes down on a Friday night… So I thought for the music video I’d want to do something within the vein of bad habits. I feel when the sun goes down, vampires come out,” Sheeran told ETalk.
“Bad Habits” will be featured as the lead single on Sheeran’s fifth studio album, expected to come out later this year. It will serve as the follow-up to his collaborative LP No.6 Collaborations Project, which came out in 2019 and featured the likes of Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello, Travis Scott, Eminem, and Cardi B.
