We can always count on wild twists and turns when Stranger Things returns for a new season and the next chapter of this tale is promising just that. A new teaser for Season 4 is here, and it shows Eleven trying to escape her dark past and start a new life in California.

Despite her claims that she’s enjoying school and making new friends in a letter she writes to Mike, Eleven is struggling to fit in. She obviously can’t wait to reunite with her old friends, and she promises they’ll have “the best spring break ever” once they’re finally back together.

Judging by this trailer, a spring break in the world of Stranger Things involves everything from gunfire and explosions to car chases and sinister dolls. The episode titles are just as cryptic as the trailer itself, starting with The Hellfire Club, Vecna’s Curse, and The Monster and The Superhero.

Season 4 still doesn’t have an official release date, but it’s set to premiere on Netflix in summer 2022 and consist of nine episodes. In addition to series regulars, such as Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp, it’s expected to feature several newcomers to the Stranger Things universe, including Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye, Nikola Djuricko, and Robert Englund.
