Hold your Dalmatians, because Cruella de Vil is far from over wreaking havoc on the streets of London. Disney’s iconic villain will return for another movie after the huge success of Cruella, and Emma Stone is set to reprise the titular role in the upcoming sequel.

Cruella hit the theaters on May 28th and followed the journey of an aspiring fashion designer and her transformation into Disney’s most fashionable villain, Cruella de Vil. In addition to Stone, the cast of the live-action spin-off 101 Dalmatians also included Emma Thompson, Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, Emily Beecham, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Mark Strong.

The potential sequel was announced shortly after the film came out, but its future was in limbo after Scarlett Johansson filed a lawsuit against Disney over the simultaneous release of Black Widow. Her decision left people wondering if Stone would go down the same road since Cruella was released the same way.

Stone, however, chose a different approach, and the executive chairman of her agency Endeavor, Patrick Whitesell, praised Disney’s willingness to recognize her contributions as a creative partner.

“While the media landscape has been disrupted in a meaningful way for all distributors, their creative partners cannot be left on the sidelines… This agreement demonstrates that there can be an equitable path forward that protects artists and aligns studios’ interests with talent,” said Whitesell in a statement.
