Marvel already gave us one amazing superhero team with the Avengers, but it seems they have another one in store. The first trailer for Chloé Zhao’s Eternals is here and it promises an epic adventure that shows an exciting new team of superheroes facing their biggest threat.

The first full trailer offers a look at the star-studded cast of this highly-anticipated project, which includes Richard Madden as Ikaris, Gemma Chan as Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, and many more.

The voiceover by Hayek’s Ajak reveals the group’s mission to help humanity: “We have watched and guided. We have helped them progress and seen them accomplish wonders. Throughout the years, we have never interfered, until now.”

In the MCU, Eternals are a team of immortal heroes who lived in the shadows for thousands of years before coming together to face their evil counterparts, the Deviants. The film is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, and there are witty references to the MCU at the end of the trailer.

After several major delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Eternals will hit the theaters on November 5th. It’s one of the first movies of the MCU’s Phase Four, following the release of Black Widow and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings this summer.
