Angus Cloud, who got his big break with the role of Fezco “Fez” O’Neill on the hit teen drama Euphoria, passed away at 25. The actor’s family asked for privacy in the face of this devastating loss, which comes only a week after Cloud lost his father.

Cloud was found unresponsive at his family home in Oakland, California, and he was pronounced dead after the Oakland Fire Department was summoned for a medical emergency. The 25-year-old actor was staying with his family and trying to overcome grief after returning from Ireland, where they laid his father to rest.

Cloud’s family released an official statement following his death and described him as an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, who was special to all of them in so many ways.

“The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,” read the statement by Cloud’s family, shared by TMZ.

Angus Cloud had no acting experience prior to his Euphoria casting, and he was scouted to audition for the show while walking down the street in New York. His character Fezco “Fez” O’Neill quickly became a fan favorite, and Cloud also went on to appear in music videos by Noah Cyrus, Juice WRLD, Becky G, and Karol G.
