Paddington movies are a gift that keeps on giving, and the next installment of this franchise will take us to a brand-new continent. The first trailer for Paddington in Peru is here, and it sees everyone’s favorite bear embark on an epic adventure in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
According to its official logline, the third film in this franchise will bring Paddington’s story to Peru as he returns to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, where he’ll embark on a thrilling adventure after a mystery plunges him into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and up to the mountain peaks of Peru, with the Brown Family in tow.
Ben Whishaw will return as the voice of Paddington, with Imelda Staunton joining him as Aunt Lucy. Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris, and Samuel Joslin are also reprising their roles from the previous films, and they’ll be joined by Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas, Rachel Zegler and Emily Mortimer, who’s replacing Sally Hawkins.
Paddington in Peru serves as the sequel to Paddington (2014) and Paddington 2 (2017), both of which were met with critical acclaim and grossed over $500 million worldwide. It will be released on November 8, 2024, in the UK, before heading to the US theatres on January 1y, 2025.
