The entertainment industry has taken a huge hit as the coronavirus continues to spread. As the days go by, the number of events affected continues to increase. Here’s a list of the movie releases, film festivals, concerts, and television productions that have been postponed or canceled.

Events

  • CinemaCon 2020: Chinese exhibitors won’t attend this year
  • SXSW, which was set for March 16-22 in Austin, was canceled last Friday
  • Red Sea International Film Festival, which was set for Match 12-21, has been postponed indefinitely
  • FILMMART 2020 was moved from late March to August 27-29
  • 2020 Game Developers Conference, which was set for March 16-20, has been scrapped after many participants pulled out
  • Ultra Music Festival: Pushed back
  • BTS, Green DayKhalidNew OrderPentatonix, StormzyMariah Carey, Avril LavigneLouis Tomlinson, and Testament has all postponed tour dates in Asia, Italy, and Hawaii
  • Tomorrowland Winter 2020, which was set for March 12-21, has been canceled

Movies

  • All theatres in mainland China, Milan, and Italy have been closed
  • No Time to Die, which was set to be released on April 10th in the U.S., was postponed until November 25th
  • Mission: Impossible: Production has been delayed on the movie, which is scheduled for a July 2021 release
  • Sonic the Hedgehog, 1917, Jojo Rabbit, and Dolittle: Release has been postponed indefinitely in China

TV

  • The Bachelorette: No episodes in Italy
  • The Amazing Race: Filming has ceased indefinitely and contestants and production were sent home
  • Disney+ Launch Event: Two-day launch event won’t be taking place, instead there will be an executive briefing via webcast
