Over a year after his death, the family of late rapper Mac Miller has announced that his unfinished album is coming out.

Rapper Mac Miller began working on Circles, originally a companion album for Swimming, before his death. Now the posthumous album is coming out thanks to producer Jon Brion, who finished what he and Miller had started.

Miller’s family confirmed the album via the rapper’s social media, writing, “This is a complicated process that has no right answer. No clear path. We simply know that it was important to Malcolm for the world to hear it.”

They continued: “Two different styles complementing each other, completing a circle — Swimming in Circles was the concept.”

According to their statement the new album drops January 17.
