Fashion Designer Kate Spade Found Dead in NYC

Famous fashion designer Kate Spade was found dead of apparent suicide in her apartment on Park Avenue. She was 55. The officials found a note alongside her body.

Spade was the founder of the popular brand Kate Spade New York. Her brand has over 300 stores in the U.S. and internationally.

In 2016, she sold her remaining shares and launched a new brand, Frances Valentine.

After the news of her death spread, her family issued a statement saying, “We are all devastated by today’s tragedy. We loved Kate dearly and will miss her terribly. We would ask that our privacy be respected as we grieve during this very difficult time.”
