The next installment of Universal Pictures’ Fast & Furious has been pushed back from its original premiere date.

The 10th chapter of the franchise will be coming to theaters on May 19, 2023, which is a bit more than a month after it was previously scheduled to debut on April 7, 2023.

F9: The Fast Saga, the most recent Fast & Furious film, opened in theaters last summer and it grosses $726 million globally, according to Variety. While this figure is less than other films in the series, it’s still very impressive because it was during the pandemic, which affected the sale of tickets. The series is Universal’s most valuable and longest-lasting franchise with sequels and spinoffs since the first film was released two decades ago.

The 10th film will bring back director Justin Lin and it will star Vin Diesel,  Sung Kang, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, and other long-standing members of the franchise.
