“Fast & Furious” Ending With Two More Movies

Vin Diesel in "The Fate of the Furious"

The Fast & Furious franchise will be driving away after 11 films and two decades in theaters.

But before it concludes with the 11th film, there are still two more films that will be made with a third, F9, to be released Memorial Day 2021.

Justin Lin, the director of the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth Fast & Furious films will be returning to direct the final two installments.

This news doesn’t mean that the Fast & Furious cinematic universe will be coming to an end—spin-off movies based on the characters are already in the works at Universal. The first spin-off, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, was released in 2019 and starred Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.

The latest film in the franchise, F9, stars franchise regulars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and Sung Kang. Joining the cast are John Cena, Cardi B, and Ozuna.
