Fede Álvarez has been set to direct the thriller 16 States from Lionsgate.
The studio landed the feature after winning a very competitive auction situation.
The pic from will be directed by Álvarez (Don’t Breathe and Evil Dead) from a script by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, known for writing and directing the film Crazy, Stupid, Love.
The film’s plot is being kept tight but according to Deadline, the film is a zombie pandemic type with a mother trying to reach her family at the center of it.
