“Filthy Rich”, “Next” Canceled at Fox

Kim Cattrall, Aubrey Dollar, Deneen Tyler, and Benjamin Levy Aguilar in "Filthy Rich"

Fox has axed two more series after a single season.

Multiple outlets report that the network has decided to canceled Filthy Rich and Next after only one season each.

The reason for the cancellations is low ratings as well as rising production costs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

NeXt has aired 3 episodes of its 10-episode order, while Filthy Rich has aired 5 of its 10 episodes. According to Variety, Fox will air the remaining episodes of both shows.

Filthy Rich follows the aftermath of a plane crash which kills the patriarch of a mega-rich Southern family. It stars Kim Cattrall, Gerald McRaney, Aubrey Dollar, Corey Cott, Benjamin Aguilar, Mark L. Young, Melia Kreiling, Steve Harris, David Denman and Olivia Macklin.

NeXt is an AI thriller about the emergence of a deadly, rogue artificial intelligence.
