Marvel announced a bunch of new projects at this year’s Comic-Con, but none of them received more buzz than Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The first trailer for this highly-anticipated sequel is finally here, and it takes us back to the kingdom of Wakanda.

Following the tragic death of the Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman in 2020, Marvel bosses decided to switch up the plot of the upcoming sequel instead of recasting him. The events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever take place after King T’Challa’s death and show the leaders of Wakanda coming together to protect it.

Writer-director Ryan Coogler reflected on promoting the first Black Panther film at Comic-Con five years ago alongside Boseman and said that it’s going to be hard to follow that up. He also promised that Wakanda Forever was worth the wait and that it goes to new places in Wakanda and the MCU that we’ve never been to before.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the final film of Marvel’s Phase Four, and it’s set to premiere on November 11.

Letitia Wright. Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett will reprise their roles from the first film, while Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, and Tenoch Huerta are set to join them.
