Sparks were flying every time Kit Harington and Rose Leslie shared a scene on the set of Game of Thrones. They took their romance off-screen and tied the knot after six years of dating during a beautiful ceremony in Scotland.
Lovebirds met on the set of HBO’s hit show when Leslie won the role of Jon Snow’s enemy-turned-lover Ygritte. Their chemistry was undeniable and no one was really surprised when the romance between the two started blooming. Even after Leslie left Game of Thrones (the same way everyone else leaves this show), her relationship with Harington stayed rock-solid. After five years of dating, their fans rejoiced as the couple announced their engagement in September 2017.
They said “Yes” to spending eternity together at Rayne Church in Aberdeenshire on Saturday afternoon. Their wedding was basically one big Game of Thrones reunion since many of their co-stars attended the ceremony. Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner were among those in attendance.
Harington’s on-screen brother Richard Madden stole the show when he showed up rocking traditional Scottish kilt, looking smug as hell. The service took place inside the 900-year-old Wardhill Castle, owned by Leslie’s family. Yep, you’re reading it right – her family actually owns one. That girl’s really got it all!
