Them Targaryens are gonna have to come to terms with not tarrying along.

With much speculation over the new prequel to Game of Thrones, fans have wondered if any of the famous families will be making an appearance.

And who better to ask than the series creator himself, George R. R. Martin?

The author spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the new show from Jane Goldman (which he accidentally revealed is likely called A Long Night).

Set 10,000 before the world we’ve come to know, “Westeros is a very different place,” Martin says.

“There’s no King’s Landing. There’s no Iron Throne. There are no Targaryens — Valyria has hardly begun to rise yet with its dragons and the great empire that it built. We’re dealing with a different and older world and hopefully that will be part of the fun of the series.”

Naomi Watts has already been cast in the series as a socialite who is concealing a dark secret.

Maybe she knows about those dragons…
