“Gossip Girl” Reboot Gets Production Start Date

Gossip Girl fans, we’re finally hearing more about the long-awaited reboot!

According to a Warner Bros. spokesperson, the HBO Max reboot will start production in New York in October. WarnerMedia Studios and Networks Group chief Ann Sarnoff also confirmed that production will take place in Vancouver, New York, and Los Angeles.

Original creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will be working on the 10-episode reboot which will take place eight years after the original show. The reboot follows a new generation of private school teens who are introduced to the Gossip Girl website and it will look at how social media impacts New York’s elites.

Kristen Bell will be returning as the narrator and rounding out the cast are Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Adam Chanler-Berat, Thomas Doherty, Jonathan Fernandez, Tavi Gevinson, Jason Gotay, Emily Alyn Lind, Zión Moreno, and Whitney Peak.
