Halle Berry is stepping behind the camera.
The Academy Award-winning actress will be making her directorial debut as she takes on a mixed-martial arts film entitled Bruised.
But just because the 52-year-old will be behind the scenes, doesn’t mean that she will be taking it easy.
On the contrary, as she will also be starring in the flick as MMA fighter, Jackie “Justice”, who has failed at her calling, and is revisited by the 6-year-old son she walked out on years before. She must now conquer her own demons, face one of the fiercest rising stars of the MMA world, and ultimately fight to become the mother her child deserves.
Halle, who is currently filming John Wick 3, will re-team with the crew who does the fight choreography for the action franchise, as well as producer Basil Iwanyk.
Production on Bruised is expected to begin in March.
