The Righteous Gemstones is one of HBO’s biggest sleeper hits right now, and its future is looking bright! HBO renewed the acclaimed comedy series for its fourth season ahead of its two-episode Season 3 finale.

The Righteous Gemstones was created for HBO by Danny McBride, and it centers on a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance and greed. The widowed patriarch Eli Gemstone and his immature children use church donations to lead opulent lives, but the trouble starts when they’re expected to take on a bigger responsibility, only to learn that their extravagant lifestyles come at a high price.

Amy Gravitt, EVP of HBO Programming and head of HBO & Max Comedy Series, announced the show’s renewal in an official statement and promised another amazing season.

“Get ready for more of the hilarious adrenaline ride that is The Righteous Gemstones. As this truly biblical season comes to a close on Sunday night, I am delighted to announce that we are picking up a fourth season,” said Gravitt.

The Righteous Gemstones is led by John Goodman, and its star-studded cast also includes Danny McBride, Edi Patterson, Adam DeVine, Cassidy Freeman, Tony Cavalero, Tim Baltz, Skyler Gisondo, and Walton Goggins.
