HBO gave us one of the most critically acclaimed talk shows in recent memory with Last Week Tonight, and they’re not letting go of it anytime soon. John Oliver’s late-night show has been renewed for an additional three seasons.

The British comedian announced the renewal in an official statement, and jokingly said he’s happy to continue his collaboration with HBO for another three years, “or until the end of the world, whichever comes first.”

HBO chief content officer, Casey Bloys, echoed his statement and said they’re beyond thrilled to continue their working relationship with Oliver and take the show through to its tenth season. “For the past seven years, John and his incredibly talented team have taken on topics that are both in the public mind and off the beaten path, always managing to shed new light on these subjects with intelligence and searing humor,” said Bloys.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver premiered in 2014, and several of its segments led to real-world change by shedding the light on important problems we face as a society. It also received critical acclaim and many prestigious awards, including 16 Emmys so far.
