It’s only been a few weeks since the second season of The White Lotus premiered on HBO and there’s more where that came from! The critically acclaimed anthology series has been renewed for its third season following the success of Season 2.

The show’s renewal was confirmed in an official statement by its creator, director, and writer Mike White, who said he’s excited to reunite with his amazingly talented collaborators at HBO.

“There’s no place I’d rather work than HBO and there’s no people I’d rather partner with than Casey Bloys, Francesca Orsi, Nora Skinner and their incredible team,” said White in a statement.

The White Lotus premiered in 2021, after being conceived as an experiment in contained filming during the pandemic. It quickly went on to become one of HBO’s biggest new series, and won the network 10 Emmys at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, including outstanding limited or anthology series.

The second season of the show moved the action from Hawaii to Sicily, but embraced the same premise, chronicling a week in the lives of guests and employees at a fictional White Lotus resort. The ensemble cast of Season 2 includes Jennifer Coolidge, F. Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli, Aubrey Plaza, Will Sharpe, Theo James, Meghann Fahy, and Sabrina Impacciatore.
