After a lot of anticipation, The Gilded Age is coming back for Season 2, and HBO gave us all the info we need ahead of its release. The hit period drama will return in October, and the new teaser trailer and first-look images reveal what lies ahead.

The Gilded Age centers on the Russells, a fiercely ambitious family trying to make a name for themselves on New York City’s rigid social scene. The conflict between old and new money is the focal point of this series, and the first teaser trailer shows that Bertha Russell’s journey to win over the members of “the old guard” is far from over.

The Gilded Age boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Louisa Jacobson, Denée Benton, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Blake Ritson, Thomas Cocquerel, Simon Jones, Jack Gilpin, Cynthia Nixon, and Christine Baranski.

The Gilded Age hails from Downton Abbey’s Julian Fellowes, and it was met with critical acclaim after premiering on HBO last year, receiving praise for its costumes and performances by the main cast. Season 2 of The Gilded Age will premiere on October 29, and it will feature a total of eight episodes, airing weekly on HBO.
