The world was a rather different place 50 years ago.

And while many things have changed and disappeared, we’re thrilled that the Woodstock Festival is still around!

Originally held on a dairy farm in Bethel near New York in 1969, this year will mark the festival’s 50th anniversary.

The 1969 line-up included The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Moody Blues, The Who, and Joe Cocker.

Jay Z and The Killers have been confirmed as the two headline acts for the 2019 event, which will be held in Watkins Glen, New York. They will be joined by Miley Cyrus, The Black Keys, Imagine Dragons, Chance the Rapper, Halsey, The Lumineers, Akon, Brandi Carlile, and Janelle Monae.

Some acts which played the original festival will also be on stage including Santana, while Arlo Guthrie will be at an event in the original location of Bethel the same weekend.

Woodstock 2019 will take place from the 16th to the 18th of August.
