Netflix has decided to add another show to its list of canceled series, with the most recent one being Hilary Swank’s Away.

Just over a month after Season 1 was released, Netflix has decided not to pick up the space drama for a second season.

Away was created by Andrew Hinderaker and inspired by Chris Jones’ Esquire article of the same name. Hilary Swank stars as American astronaut Emma Green who leads an international crew on the first mission to Mars and she has to come to terms with leaving her husband (Josh Charles) and teenage daughter (Talitha Bateman) behind when they needed her. During the crew’s mission, their personal dynamics and being away from their loved ones becomes more complex.

The first season consisted of 10 episodes and in addition to Swank, Charles, and Bateman the series starred Vivian Wu, Mark Ivanir, Ato Essandoh, and Ray Panthaki. Monique Gabriela Curnen, Michael Patrick Thornton, Martin Cummins, Gabrielle Rose, Brian Markinson, Fiona Fu, Nadia Hatta, Alessandro Juliani, Felicia Patti, Veena Sood, Anthony F. Ingram, Adam Irigoyen, Diana Bang, John Murphy, Derrick Su, and Olena Medwid were recurring cast members.
