The movie adaptation of Jandy Nelson’s beloved young adult novel The Sky Is Everywhere is on the way, and its cast looks pretty great. Jason Segel and Cherry Jones are set to join Grace Kaufman in this Apple original film.

The Sky Is Everywhere focuses on a shy teenage girl (Kaufman) trying to deal with the aftermath of her sister’s death. Her healing process becomes even more difficult after she finds herself stuck in a love triangle between her sister’s former fiancé and a new boy in town who shares her passion for music.

Segel will take on the role of her eccentric and compassionate uncle. Jones will play the girl’s warm and loving grandmother, who welcomed both sisters into her home after their mother left.

Shortly before joining this project, Jones won her third Emmy for the guest role on Succession, and she recently appeared on Defending Jacob. Segel recently starred alongside Sally Field on the anthology series Dispatches from Elsewhere, which he also created.
