Looks like Jay and Silent Bob are not going to be quiet forever!
The characters, played by Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith, were first introduced to us in the 1994 film Clerks, which was directed by Smith, who maxed out his credit cards to fund the project.
The pair starred in several other cult classics, including Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, but were last seen on screen in 2006 in the long-awaited sequel to their debut, Clerks 2.
But the mastermind behind the pair (and Silent Bob himself), Smith, has now revealed that we have not seen the last of them…
In a tweet, the filmmaker confirmed that the reboot that was first announced in August 2017 is finally underway!
“Spent the first day of 2019 having a #JayAndSilentBobReboot pre-pre-production meeting,” Smith wrote.
