Jessica Lange created one of the greatest television characters of all time on American Horror Story, but we may have seen the last of her (the character that is.)

The Politician actress originally played Constance Langdon in the show’s first season, Murder House, and reprised the role in the eighth installment, Apocalypse.

That said, the 70-year-old says it is unlikely that she will make a return to the anthology series which has just released its 9th season, 1984.

“I did [Apocalypse] because it was recreating Constance, which was, for me, a very important time when I did that first season, Murder House,” Lange told The Wrap. “But I don’t think I would want to start from scratch and create a character.”

In fact, despite the actress re-teaming with AHS creator Ryan Murphy for The Politician, she mused that she may not return to the small screen ever again.

“It would take something very, very different and special to jump back into [TV]. Because at this point, I’m not sure I’m not finished. I might have come to the end of it.”

We hope she’s wrong!
