American singer/songwriter JoJo and Maze Runner actor Dexter Darden are engaged! JoJo revealed the happy news via social media this past weekend.
JoJo, whose real name is Joanna Noëlle Levesque, made the announcement by sharing several photos and videos of the engagements on Instagram while also showing off her shiny new ring. It is believed that Darden proposed on JoJo’s 31st birthday on December 20, while the two were vacationing at La Concha Resort in Puerto Rico.
“The most thoughtful, creative, positive, handsome, strong, loving, uplifting human being asked me to marry him. So obviously I said YESSS!!!” JoJo wrote in the caption.
Darden also got in on the announcement, writing, “Yupppppp. Thank you for being my forever,” in the comments section.
The couple has been private about their dating life so far and the details about their relationship remain scarce. However, it’s been widely presumed that the two have been together since 2020.
JoJo had a busy year, releasing her sixth studio album Trying Not to Think About It and appearing on the reality singing competition show The Masked Singer, where she finished as runner-up. She is currently planning to embark on a tour across North America in early 2022.
Dexter Darden is believed to be working on season three of Saved by the Bell reboot. He also has a new movie, Chang Can Dunk, coming out in the near future.
