Many A-list stars attended Broadway’s biggest night on Sunday, and some of them even walked away with shiny trophies. The list of Tony Awards winners is in, and it includes the likes of Jonathan Groff, Angelina Jolie, Daniel Radcliffe, and Jeremy Strong.
The Outsiders came into the night with 12 nominations and came out victorious in four categories, including the best musical. Angelina Jolie picked up her first Tony Award as one of the producers of this project, after serving as one of the presenters at the ceremony.
She wasn’t the only A-lister to walk away with a Tony this year. Jonathan Groff and Daniel Radcliffe won acting accolades for their respective performances in the musical Merrily We Roll Along, along with Jeremy Strong for An Enemy of the People and Sarah Paulson for Appropriate.
When it comes to the rest of the categories, Stereophonic was the biggest winner of the night with a total of five awards, including best play. Merrily We Roll Along and The Outsiders collected four each, followed by Appropriate with three, including the best revival of a play.
The 2024 Tony Awards took place on June 16 at the Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater in New York, with Ariana DeBose hosting for the third year in a row.
