Canadian pop star Justin Bieber hit another big milestone in 2021. According to Chart Data, Bieber became the first music act to reach 90 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Chart Data has Bieber at 91 monthly listeners, while his closest follower is Ed Sheeran with 80.5 million listeners. The duo is followed by The Weeknd (78.1 million), Ariana Grande (73.4 million), and Dua Lipa (66.7 million). Also in the top 10 are Adele, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Elton John, and Doja Cat.

Justin Bieber has had a busy year in 2021, releasing his sixth studio album Justice back in March. The record, which featured guest appearances from Khalid, Chance the Rapper, and Benny Blanco, among others, received positive reviews while topping charts in 10 countries, including the US Billboard 200. It also landed Bieber eight nominations at the upcoming Grammy Awards.

Less than a month after Justice came out, Bieber also shared an unannounced EP Freedom. The release contained six gospel-inspired songs and it was met with a favorable reception from the critics.

Bieber is currently set to embark on a world tour to promote Justice. The tour is scheduled to kick off with a show in San Diego on February 18, 2022, and it runs through March 2023.
