Kate Winslet found huge success through her collaboration with HBO, and she’s finally ready to join forces with a new partner in crime. The two-time Emmy winner will star in Hulu’s thriller series The Spot, created by Ed Solomon.

Winslet will lead the series as a successful surgeon, whose relationship with her schoolteacher husband becomes strained after he starts to suspect that she may be responsible for a child’s hit-and-run death. Their quest for truth spirals into a web of mounting suspicion and dark secrets, that puts their resolve and their relationship to the test.

Hulu gave The Spot a straight-to-series order, with Solomon (Full Circle) at the helm as its writer and showrunner. He’ll also executive produce this project alongside Winslet through her Juggle Productions banner, while A24 serves as the studio alongside Hulu’s sister company 20th Television.

The Spot marks Winslet’s first major TV project in years not to come out of her successful collaboration with HBO. Their partnership has given us three limited series, starting with the 2011 period drama Mildred Pierce. Winslet won her first Emmy Award for this project and later repeated this success with another Emmy victory for Mare of Easttown. She also led HBO’s political satire The Regime, which came out this spring to mixed reviews.
