There’s always a lot of buzz surrounding the cast of each Knives Out movie, and the third installment is no exception. Several actors have been added to the Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery ensemble this week, including Kerry Washington and Glenn Close.

It’s been less than a week since Netflix announced that Knives Out 3 is officially happening with a cryptic teaser trailer. Rian Johnson is coming back as the writer, director, and producer of this highly-anticipated sequel, which will be released in 2025 under the title Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

Knives Out films are as good as their cast, and the third installment will truly be an embarrassment of riches. Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) and Josh O’Connor (Challengers) were the first actors to join the cast before Andrew Scott (All of Us Strangers) hopped on board earlier this week.

Wake Up Dead Man ensemble is getting larger by the day, and it will also include the Scandal star Kerry Washington and the Hollywood veteran Glenn Close. Washington currently stars in Hulu’s comedy UnPrisoned, and will next appear in Tyler Perry’s Six Triple Eight, while the eight-time Oscar nominee Close is fresh off starring in The New Look, and will next be seen in action comedies Brothers and Back in Action.
