Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars both have several amazing collaborations under their belt, and they’ve finally given us one together. The hit-making duo dropped the retro music video for their duet “Die with a Smile”.

Directed by Mars and Daniel Ramos, the visual for this A-list duet sees the duo performing their new single in matching red-and-blue outfits. Mars is playing a guitar while rocking a cowboy hat, while Gaga is smoking a cigarette behind a tiny piano.

Lady Gaga described Bruno Mars as a talent “beyond explanation”, and said they’ve stayed up all night finishing up this song after discussing their potential collaboration for a while.

“I was finishing up my own album in Malibu, and one night after a long day he asked me to come to his studio to hear something he was working on. It was around midnight when I got there, and I was blown away when I heard what he had started making,” Gaga said in a statement.

She’s currently gearing up for the release of her seventh studio album, but “Die with a Smile” has reportedly been released as a stand-alone single and not one of the songs from her next album. As for Mars, this marks his first song as a solo artist in years since he’s mostly been focusing on his work with Silk Sonic.
