Daisy Ridley carried the Star Wars sequel trilogy on her shoulders, and she’ll soon be coming back for more! Lucasfilm is developing three new films focusing on Rey’s role in building a new Jedi order, and Ridley will return to play this beloved character.

Ridley led the sequel trilogy, which included films The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker, but she didn’t return to the franchise ever since. That’s about to change pretty soon, and she’s gearing up to head to the galaxy far, far away in a new Star Wars movie directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

Ridley announced her comeback during a surprise appearance at the Star Wars Celebration in London, and it turns out she won’t be back for a single film. Two more sequels are in the early stages of development, with Dave Filoni and James Mangold at the helm.

Ridley got her big break thanks to the role of Rey in the Star Wars franchise, but she’s mostly been focusing on indie projects following The Rise of Skywalker. She has several movies on the way this year, including Sundance hit Sometimes I Think About Dying, animated movie The Inventor, psychological thriller The Marsh King’s Daughter, and sports biopic Young Woman and the Sea.
