Christmas came early to Mariah Carey.
Billboard announced Monday via its official Twitter account that Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has finally claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Yes, that’s right — two and a half decades after the release of her holiday album Merry Christmas in 1994, Carey claims her 19th overall No.1 achievement, giving her more No. 1 singles on the Hot 100 than any other solo artist per Entertainment Weekly.
Following Billboard’s announcement the award-winning singer and Queen of Christmas took to share the excitement with her fans writing, “We did it 😭❤️🐑🎄🦋.”
“All I Want For Christmas Is You” previously peaked at No. 3 in 2018.
