Yellowstone spin-offs have always been one star-studded affair, and the next project set in this universe will be no exception. The Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Pfeiffer will lead and executive produce the next chapter of the Dutton family’s story, titled Madison.
Madison has been described as a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana. It was originally developed under the working title 2024, so it’s safe to expect it will be set in the modern day.
Pfeiffer has officially been cast in the lead role after months of speculations, and Patrick J. Adams and Kurt Russell are also circling this project. Paramount’s global president Chris McCarthy confirmed her casting, and described her as “a remarkable talent who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity, and grace.”
In addition to leading this spin-off, the three-time Oscar nominee is also coming on board as one of the executive producers alongside Sheridan, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Christina Voros, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox.
Pfeiffer most recently played Janet Van Dyne in several MCU films, including Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and starred as Betty Ford in Showtime’s mini-series The First Lady.
